It's a Movie

The Synopsis

An unemployed man is on the verge of losing his home and family when he is given a gift that takes him back in time where he must choose a future that will bring either financial prosperity to save the “things” in his life or forgiveness to save himself.

"The Santa Hat" is a holiday movie that takes place in and around downtown Grand Rapids, past and present.

It features an all-star cast that includes:

and more!

It's an Event

Community Engagement

Critical to the success of the movie will be the ability to re-create a 1967 Department Store, as well as vintage exteriors representative of Grand Rapids holidays past. The fictitious Herpolburg’s (Herpolshiemer's + Wurzburg's) will be built at 54 Jefferson (the old Public Museum).

The set will include Vintage decorations, refurbishing the Herpolsheimer's train, and a replicated animatronic Rudolph!

Following filming, it will be opened to the public during the holiday season for visits to Santa Claus and a step back in time! Key downtown streets will be filled with vintage holiday decorations.
